Health and Awareness Initiatives

IFWA collaborated with Dr. Saadia Mustafa and WPTGF to organize a medical camp for children and a health awareness session for parents focused on key health concerns, including nutrition. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, IFWA also worked with Dr. Maryam Malik and the Sunbeams School System to hold a health awareness session for communities in Golra and produced informational leaflets.

In addition, IFWA supported the PIMS burn unit to enhance hygiene and operations.

IFWA continued its efforts to promote community health through several impactful initiatives. In partnership with Dr. Saadia Mustafa and the WPTGF, IFWA organized a medical camp for children in which basic health checks were conducted and key medical concerns were identified. Alongside this, a health awareness session for parents addressed common issues observed during the camp, with Dr. Saadia Mustafa’s talk focusing particularly on the importance of nutrition and preventive care.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, IFWA collaborated with Dr. Maryam Malik and the Sunbeams School System to hold a health awareness session at a school for out-of-school children (OOSC) in Golra. To reinforce the educational component, IFWA designed and printed informational leaflets and published videos containing essential guidance and facts for participants. These documents can be find here: ifwa.pk/health.

Additionally, IFWA provided support to the PIMS burn unit, helping improve hygiene and facilitate the unit’s ongoing work to treat and care for burn victims.

Together, these initiatives reflect IFWA’s commitment to accessible healthcare, preventive education, and community wellbeing, ensuring long-term impact across vulnerable groups.
