Rise and Shine Ministries
IFWA supported Rise and Shine Ministries in Iqbal Town near Rawalpindi by providing sewing machines, a pico machine, and other materials for a women’s sewing center. Later in the year 2025, IFWA contributed to the project’s expansion into a larger vocational training center, which now also includes a non-formal education center for out-of-school children in the community.
IFWA has been an active partner of Rise and Shine Ministries, an initiative that empowers women and supports education in Iqbal Town near Rawalpindi. The project began as a sewing center for women, where IFWA provided sewing machines, a pico machine, and other sewing materials to help women develop practical skills and generate sustainable income. The group proved to be highly reliable and efficient in managing the resources and training activities.
Building on this success, IFWA later supported the expansion of the initiative into a larger vocational training center, allowing more women to participate and diversify their skills. In the second phase, the project broadened its impact by establishing a non-formal education center for out-of-school children in the same area, creating new opportunities for learning and social inclusion.
Through this continued collaboration, IFWA reinforces its mission to promote women’s empowerment, vocational education, and access to learning for marginalized communities, helping families in Iqbal Town work toward a more independent and hopeful future.
